St Conan's Kirk

St Conan’s Kirk is delighted to be hosting Austrian interdisciplinary artist Caroline Vitzthum and South African sound artist Gavriel Rubin, who are presenting an evolution of their collaborative installation, initially exhibited at Walcot Chapel in Bath in 2019.

Caroline’s practice explores themes around the evolution, biology and conservation of plants and ancient farming methods. Her new collection of texts strives to express the interdependencies between human and vegetal beings. Gavriel’s work revolves around the relationship between sound perception, spirituality, and psychology. Merging natural and electronic sounds with traditional music, his soundscapes further investigate the relationship between the natural and humane.
