Karie Hicks

Karie is a self-trained silversmith working in Tarbert, Argyll. Working with seaglass, old china, and recycled silver, Karie’s creates nature-inspired jewellery under the brand Wishstone & Silver. Her work is constantly evolving, exploring what happens when metal is carefully formed or allowed to flow freely and fuse into organic shapes.

Karie says: “I have been a magpie all my life, finding treasure on the shore or in the garden, and rescuing broken scatterlings to give them a new lease of life. My pieces are tokens of renewal and joy in the beauty of small things.”
