Biography/Description
Louise’s visual language of tapestry weaving with its elements of colour, texture and design has always reflected her joy of a contemplative lifestyle.
Hand weaving demands patience and gives great satisfaction as the slow process allows imagination free rein. Simple line drawings in sketchbooks change into images of hidden complexity, the constraints of vertical warp and horizontal weft providing plenty of opportunities for exploring ideas in tactile delight.
