Being in nature through all the seasons in Argyll is essential to Jules’ practice, needing to capture the overall sensory experience. Her mixed media semi abstract paintings are an ongoing exploration where intuition, nature and emotions come together through colour, composition, layering and unearthing marks to create visual dialogue .Jules’ ceramics are created using different clays and textured glazes inspired by nature. Her approach to her paintings and ceramics , like most practices, takes time and dedication but most importantly, experimentation.
