Cate McKillop
Cate graduated in 2014 from The Glasgow School of Art with BA Hons in Communication Design, then pursued a career in teaching.
Cate uses visual metaphors, allegorical narratives and a deep appreciation of self-concept to help tackle the mental struggles faced while on a difficult healing journey.
“Lino-cutting gives me a purpose for my hands. It allows me to render my complex thoughts into something visual. I feel myself lighten with each mark. I have the space to think clearly. To be vulnerable and feel deeply. As I’ve given myself permission to heal, loudly”.
