Polly says of her work “Line has always been more important to me than colour, and I find it most satisfying to create the illusion of three-dimensional detail and texture through the use of pencil. Inks and colour wash best suit my illustrative style for precision and control of colour, and commissions have often led to the use of wildlife studies in the service of literary allusion.”
