Being in nature through all the seasons in Argyll is essential to Jules’ practice, needing to capture the overall experience to create authentic art. Her mixed media semi abstract paintings are created intuitively , evoking her internal and external feelings from her true soul through layering texture, colour and mark making. Jules’ ceramics are created using different clays and textured glazes inspired by nature. Her approach to her paintings and ceramics , like most practices, takes time and dedication but most importantly, experimentation.
