Biography/Description

Welcome to Taynish National Nature Reserve’s ‘Art at the Mill’ self-led trail. Local artists have partnered up with the Argyll Nature Reserve team from NatureScot to create an outdoor exhibition along the 600m, popular Mill path at Taynish National Nature Reserve. Taynish woods and shoreline are the perfect backdrop to exhibit artworks. There is nothing more peaceful than taking in the beautiful natural surroundings at Taynish whilst observing the fantastic talents of local artists.

Additional notes

Taynish National Nature Reserve is open all year round with a variety of trails to choose from. The art trail runs along the most popular ‘mill trail’ route which starts at the car park and runs 600m to the mill then out towards the poets seat platform at the shore. The path is classed as ‘easy’ and is well maintained by reserve staff. There is no toilet on site but there are public toilets at Tayvillach village on the outskirts of the reserve, here there is also a popular shop, café and pub for you to extend your day out.
