Biography/Description

There is great satisfaction in working with your hands to create functional baskets from willow which has been grown and harvested just a short step from the workshop. The natural colours of the willow create subtle shades and textures in the weaving. Bark can be peeled from the larger rods to create nest like containers to hold your treasures. The pleasure of transforming a bundle of rods into a basket never wanes – there is always a new weave to learn and another style to discover.
