Cate McKillop

Cate uses visual metaphors and a deep appreciation of self-concept to help her tackle her mental struggles and celebrate her life.

“The lino-cutting process is integral to my healing journey. It gives me a focus and a purpose for my hands, thoughts and feelings. I feel myself lighten with each mark. I have the space to think deeply, to be vulnerable and feel my self. I’ve given myself permission to heal, loudly”.

Cate graduated in 2014 from The Glasgow School of Art BA Hons in Communication Design. She then pursued a career in teaching.
