Invitation for artists in Lochaber

2023 will be the sixteenth year that artists open their studios as part of the Artmap Argyll red dot open studios trail. This is a well-established event that provides opportunities for people to meet and talk to local artists.

The 2022 event included a mix of familiar and new studios from Mull of Kintyre up to Oban and we’d like to build on that success. We’d like to extend an invitation to artists in the Lochaber area to take part in this year’s event. Artists who have taken part find that opening their studio is a great way to make contacts, raise their profile and even make some sales.

We are expecting more than 40 studios to take part this year and with new members in Lochaber would love to see that number go above 50 for the first time. Studios will be open from Saturday 19 August to Monday 28 August and we are keen for artists who are interested in taking part to get in touch.

The event is open to artists of any discipline and the variety of different styles and work is a real strength. Artists interested in taking part need to sign up by the end of March and they can find more information or get in touch for an informal chat.
