Clair Steele

Clair resides in Bournemouth but fell in love with Argyll 20 years ago on a spontaneous trip to Tayvallich in the motorhome. Now spending half of the year at Castle Sween, Clair’s artistic focus is the landscape around her. She uses a variety of materials across her works but primarily focuses on oils to paint the scenes that inspire her.

When she isn’t painting, she can be found knitting; reading, baking up a storm (focaccia or muffin anyone?) or walking her two lively Golden Retrievers.
