Ally Mackellar
Biography/Description
Ally Mackellar is a textile artist based in the West Highlands of Scotland, creating felted landscapes inspired by the shifting light, textures and colours of the natural environment around her. After graduating in Textile Design from Nottingham Trent University, she worked as a woven textile designer and teacher before returning to full-time studio practice. The Highland landscape now shapes her materials, palette and process.
