Inspired by Victorian intrigue & opulence, old photographs & ancestral memories, Emma creates atmospheric and romantic designs in printed & kiln-fired glass.
Experimenting with unique techniques; layering various materials, the pieces develop ghostly, photographic and textural qualities; blurring the lines between art & artefact.
Insect motifs features regularly in her work, symbolising the obsessive nature of the Victorian ‘collectors extraordinaire’.
Her collection of decoratively functional ‘house jewellery’ evokes bygone days & faded grandeur.

I share my studio with Adam Harvey, a ceramicist and potter. The studio is located in the Old Post Office, just off the main A83 running through Minard. Look out for the A-board just before, or after, the traffic lights. Limited parking outside and extra parking available across the road in the shore parking area, where there are benches and picnic tables.
