Nils Aksnes

Nils Aksnes creates complex images with simple pinhole cameras. Using multiple exposures he creates layered images which evoke the landscape around him. Nils’ work explores environmental change through close observation of found objects and colours. Natural and waste materials are combined in the images as they are in the land around us. Nils’ images are neither of the object, nor the landscape. Instead, they address the ways in which one becomes the other.
